I had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Elizabeth Smith as my 4th grade teacher at Regal School. I have notes at home that we shared back and forth that my Mom kept for me. She is my most memorable teacher I ever had, and I have never forgotten her. She actually came to my brother's funeral in 1990 who also was one of her students. Through the many years I had always wanted to reach out to her to get together for lunch to let her know what an impact she made in my life just by being in it for that short time, but years flew by, and my hope is she knows. She is and was an example to us all as to how we should treat one another and live life & she will always hold a special place in my heart.

I met Beth in the late 70's when she used to visit my Uncle Bill Kempe, at Spokane Convalescent Center. Bill was her sister Doretta's foster father. Beth was a kind compassionate woman. God's blessing to her family and may their many memories of her bring them peace. Anna Mae (Benner) Luther
