Erma Cooper Obituary

COOPER, Erma Jean
(Age 64)

Erma passed on to be with Our Lord February 19, 2011 at her home in Spokane, WA. She courageously fought the battle of Alzheimer's disease for five years. Erma was born to John and Nettie Cooper on October 4, 1947 in Colville, WA. She was the youngest of five children.
Erma lived for many years at Lakeland Village before moving to Haven Homes, ECHO Supported Living, and finally, Ambitions of Washington. Erma has shared her home with her longtime friends for many years.
Erma was employed by Nova Services where she proudly worked as a housekeeper in local hotels. Her work ethics could be a model to all. She looked forward to going to work everyday. People could not cross her path without smiling.
Erma is survived by her family; Stephanie and Craig Ericksen; their sons, Blake and Tim; their daughter, Courtney, her husband, Travis and their children, Logan and Abbi. Also, Erma's cherished friend of 25 years, Bill Harvey.
She has a large circle of friends whom have received her precious love and have given her the gift of love as well. Her passion for life and love for God ("I love you Jesus" and "Praise the Lord") should be an example to all of us. She blessed our lives richly and we give thanks to God for blessing those of us that loved her. That smile and her laughter will never be forgotten. She will live in us forever!
A sincere and heart-felt thank you to those special friends at Ambitions that helped give Erma the quality of life she deserved. Those that loved and cared for her for many years especially, Pam, Brenda, Odayls and Elaine.
A Celebration of Erma's life will be held Saturday February 26, at 11am, at Central Baptist Church, 19 W. Shannon, Spokane, WA. Memorial gifts may be given in Erma's memory to Hospice of Spokane, PO Box 2215, Spokane WA 99210-2215 or the Alzheimer's Association, 910 W. 5 Ave, Ste 256, Spokane WA 99204.
