BARENCHI, Frances Elouise
(Gossett)

February 13, 1935 - November 27, 2017

It's with great sadness we share the news of the passing of a wonderful woman, our mom, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend - Frances (aka Franny, Mom and Mother), born February 13, 1935 to Johnny Gordon and Floy Jane Gossett in Rusk County, TX.
Mom is preceded in death by her daddy, mother and her brother, J.L. Gossett. She is survived by her three brothers: David, Robert and James Gossett and her sister, Helen Holland-all of Henderson, TX. She leaves behind her son, Kenneth Gordon Bost (Caroline); her daughter, Pam Peters (Tom)- all of Spokane; and her daughter, Janna Barenchi Jones (Greg) living in CA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In 1959, Mom moved from Texas to Spokane, WA with her husband, Robert Bost, and her young kids. They divorced in 1960. In 1966, she began a 24-yr long career in the grocery business as a bookkeeper/store account supervisor working for Warehouse Market, Inc. and Tidyman's. A friend got her interested in amateur radio. She met H.L. Barenchi on the air, got her HAM license (WA7 LNK "little naughty kid") and went on to marry him. Divorcing in 1978, she stayed in Spokane until 1990 when she moved back to Texas to help care for her mother. Mom returned to Spokane in 2012, suffering from Alzheimer's. She had great care from her family and made it until she just couldn't.
We are celebrating Mom from 1-3 PM, Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 212 S. David St., Spokane Valley.
