Fred Techel Obituary

TECHEL,
Fred A.

Passed away on May 28th surrounded by his loving family. Fred was born September 26, 1932 to Louis C. and Helen Techel, Milwaukee, WI. He graduat-ed from Washington High School where he lettered in Track and Football. Fred went on to play football at the University of Minnesota. His college years were interrupted by the Korean War where he proudly served. Returning to the U of M, he met and married his wife Nancy Sundby. His career with Patterson Dental Supply eventually led him to the West Coast, and Spokane where he has spent the remainder of his life. "Herr Fun", as he was fondly called, loved hunting, fishing, and the years he spent field trialing his Labradors. No "bucket list" needed. Fred said he had done and seen everything.
Survived by his wife Nancy and two daughters Linda (Bill) Mac George, Molly (Steven) Ohm, and grand children Stuart and Nancy Mac George. A celebration of Fred's life will be held in Wisconsin at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of Spokane will be appreciated.
