BRAZEAU, George, Jr. George William Brazeau, Jr., 80 from Spokane, WA passed on to peace and eternity on March 7, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Betty; sister June Robinson; children Jeff Brazeau, Julie Bronson, Jill Poe, Jamie Brazeau; step-children Allen (Lori) Gardner, Deanna (Ted) Fisher, Elizabeth Turner and Rita Gardner. He is also survived by two nieces, twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two canine companions, Oscar and Pippa. George was born on July 8, 1932 in Seattle, WA to parents George William Brazeau, Sr. and Angeline Eronimo. As a Coast Guard child George traveled the country living in Boston, Seattle and Hawaii during the bombing of Pearl Harbor. George graduated from Lincoln High School in Seattle, WA. During his freshman year, he realized one of his lifetime gifts as a salesperson and merchant when he earned recognition for record subscriptions as a newspaper boy for the Seattle Times. After high school George attended University of Washington before he enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War. After serving for his country George continued his education and earned an AA Degree from Everett Jr. College. While attending college, George began working at Ernst Hardware where he continued to work until retirement as a store manager at locations throughout Washington State. As a manager, George was a dedicated and respected leader who provided outstanding customer service and mentoring to many of his employees. After retiring from Ernst, George and his wife Betty enjoyed traveling to Arizona. He was a passionate member of the Spokane Valley Elks Lodge where he served two terms as Exalted Ruler. George was an ambitious, kind and thoughtful man who had a positive influence on the lives of many people. He is dearly loved and missed by his family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in George's honor at 2:00PM on March 29, 2013 at the Spokane Valley Elks Lodge, N. 2605 Robie Rd., Spokane Valley, WA. A reception will follow.
