Grace D.
(Age 88)

Passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 in Spokane Valley WA. Grace, a longtime resident of the Spokane Valley, was born in Watson Saskatchewan Canada to William and Olga Cook. She enjoyed all crafts, knitting and crocheting. Grace enjoyed boating and going to the lake. She was an avid bowler. Grace loved to travel and saw much of the world including Hong Kong, the Caribbean and was present to celebrate the anniversary of the Panama Canal. She was a great cook so family gatherings were special. Grace was active in the Coast Guard Auxiliary (serving as Flotilla 83 Commander), the Eagles and the VFW. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Robert J. Beitey. She is survived by her sons Dennis (Bonnie), John (Connie) and Michael (Barb); four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, April 28 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. followed by a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. both at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home, 1315 N. Pines Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 4521 N. Arden Rd. Please sign Grace's online guestbook at www.hennesseyfuneralhomes.com.

She will be missed. We had a lot of fun years at the lake, Pend Orielle and on the boat especially the 42' Christcraft, camping, traveling to Reno, Neah Bay, West Port Salmon fishing & to Canada.
