BETTINGER, Icie M.

Services for Icie Moore Bettinger will be held at 1PM Saturday, June 4, 2011 at St. Louis Catholic Church, with Msgr. Rev. Mark Deering presiding.
Rosary and visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Wilkerson-Hatch Brazos Funeral Home from 6-8 PM.
Icie Moore Bettinger died peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in The Woodlands, Texas. She spent much of her life in Waco, Texas; Billings, Montana, and Spokane, Washington. She graduated from Aquilla High School in 1933 as an All-State center on the girls' basketball team. She married Andrew Frosch of Waco and they had one daughter, Nancylu.
She worked for the JC Penney Company in Waco for over 20 years and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxilary, Lifetime member of the Independent Order of OddFellows & Rebekahs, and a 50-year member and former Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was active in her church, St. John Vianney of Spokane, Washington, and Catholic Daughters for many years. Well into her eighties she continued to work with seniors delivering meals-on-wheels with her husband, Don.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and two brothers. She is survived by her husband, Don Bettinger of Spokane, Washington; her daughter and son-in-law Nancylu and Robert Roberts of Spring, Texas; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law: Rob and Sue Roberts of Magnolia, Texas; and Ron and Allison Roberts of Houston, Texas; and six great-grandchildren: Samantha, Andy, Shay, Thomas, Hunter, and Maggie Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Daughters or St. John Vianney Church, P.O. Box 141125, Spokane, Washington 99214.
