JOHNSON, Irene W.

Irene Johnson passed away peacefully on July 8th, surrounded by her children.

Always on the go, her final trip was to come home to her Lord and Savior.

Irene was born in Alpine Utah in 1931 and was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob, five years ago. Always active with a love for camping with friends and family. She was an avid runner and on the Bloomsday Committee for seven years and a volunteer for many more. Irene also volunteered for the Blood Mobile and at St. Mary's. After Bob's retirement, she and Bob went to Yellowstone to work in the park during the summers for 14 years.

She leaves behind her brothers, Harvey Weiser and "Bud" Weiser; sons, Gene, Michael, Richard and Lawrence; daughters, Catherine and Christine, also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Mass will be Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11am and will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church, 304 S. Adams, Spokane Valley, WA. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
