LENERTZ,
John Joseph
(Age 74)

After a five-year struggle with intestinal and liver cancer, John Joseph 'Jack' Lenertz, 74, of Spokane Valley, passed away the evening of August 10, 2018. Jack was born in Miles City, Montana, on July 25, 1944, and resided in Spokane for the last 50+ years. Jack was a graduate of Gonzaga Preparatory School and attended the University of Montana. He worked in circulation for The Spokesman-Review for years prior to a long career in local real estate, where he was the first realtor in Spokane to earn his CCIM designation and the director of A+ Now Real Estate. Jack was an Army Reserve Veteran, as well as an avid outdoorsman. To the last days of his life, Jack loved camping and fishing with his family. He will be remembered for his quick wit, innovative, entrepreneurial spirit, and love for pets, especially his many black Labradors. His family will remember him for his words of wisdom. He was continuously motivated by his intuitive business sense and industrious spirit. Jack was a doer. He is survived by an extended, loving family, including his wife Edith (Doll) Lenertz, sister Loretta Anderson (Jack), four daughters and five grandchildren: Yvonne Theodor (Theo), Donna Herold (Todd), Nicole Welding (Scott) and Michelle Parker.
