Katherine Luvern Achen passed away peacefully on March 29th, 2011 at the age of 103 in Bellngham, Washington. She was born on a farm in Zurich Montana. Luvern was pre-deceased by her husband Ray Achen, sister Esther Brown, daughter Janet Parker and grandson Michael Parker. She was an avid gardener, known for her great beefsteak tomatoes. Luvern had a unique ability to connect with people and develop genuine friendships everywhere she lived. She will be greatly missed by her son Lew Achen (Hannah), grandchildren Becky Parker (Tom), Peggy Parker, Mori Achen (Maryann), Merri Ann Allan (Dan), Eric Achen (Elizabeth), Allyn Parker; and her great-grandchildren Hannah Parker (Dan), Kenny Allan, Gian Achen, Deborah Allan, Evan Achen, Addison Parker and all of her many friends.

Services will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4515 N. Alberta, Spokane, at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 2nd.
