Kathleen Chamberlain (86)

Kathy went to the Lord on August 10, 2018. She was born to Agnes and Frank Wissink in Tekoa, WA on October 17th, 1931. She moved with her parents as a young child to Chewelah where she was joined by her five younger siblings. She married Jerry Chamberlain on Sept. 24th, 1949. They spent most of their married life in Entiat where Kathy was the owner of Kathy’s Kafe. They moved to Yakima in 1973, where she was the kitchen manager of the Bon Marche and later the Holiday Inn. In 1984, when Jerry died, she moved to Spokane where she was the kitchen manager of the Village Inn. In addition to Jerry, she was preceded in death by her brothers Bud and Bobby Wissink, and sister Judy Wissink Grimm. She is survived by her daughters Karen Chamberlain (Dick Howland), Gayle Cooper (Rich), Kelli Barton, and Tori Chamberlain-Bailey (Gregg), brother Pat Wissink, sister Mary Marshall, grandchildren Shannon Cruzen, Kris Honaker, Jamie Cooper, and Kendall Bailey, and great-grandchildren Riley, Rachel and Ryan Honaker, Flora and Tristen Cruzen. Many thanks to her friends and the staff at Riverview Retirement Community for making her last 3 years active and joyful. Friends and family can pay their respects at the celebration of life service on Saturday, September 22 at 11:00 a.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church, 3720 E Colbert Road, Colbert, Washington. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kathy's name to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Colbert for the new rectory fund.
