Kenneth was born to Ruth and William Wimett on October 4, 1937. Ken spent much of his youth playing baseball. He was a pitcher for the American Legion. He later earned a partial scholarship in baseball to the University of Montana. After getting his degree in 1961 he spent two years in the US Army, then returned to Missoula, MT and began a career in Insurance and later Property Management. He was transferred around the state before settling in Spokane in 1973. Ken was married to his high school sweetheart, Swanda, for 60 years. They became parents to three daughters: Debra Mc Culley (Kevin), Sue Bell and Joan Lind (Kelly). After retiring he and Swanda became "Snow Birds" and spent many winters in Surprise, AZ. Besides being an avid reader, Ken loved playing golf and bridge, in which he attained the level of Life Master. A Celebration of Life will be held in Surprise at a later date.
