Of Glen Carbon, IL passed from this life on Monday, April 4, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. Ken was born on April 16, 1937 in Burrton, KS to Eugene and Pearl Cain. He was an electrician for 20 years at Boeing as well as a member of IEBEW Local #73 and Local #1. In his early working years he served as a fireman in the community of Hutchison, KS. Ken was a member of New Song Fellowship in Edwardsville, IL and in his free time enjoyed hunting, fishing, snow skiing and square dancing with his wife. He is survived by and will be missed by his wife, Carolyn (Sabo) Cain, whom he married on April 15, 1974 in Spokane, WA; daughter, Candee (Cain) Staicoff of Glen Carbon, IL; grandchildren, Christopher (Jordan) Stout of Edwardsville, IL, Danielle Cain of Spokane, WA, Raelynn Cain of Spokane, WA; great-grandchildren, Jaiden Stout of Edwardsville, IL, Autumn Marie Cain of Spokane, WA, Kaidyn Cain of Spokane, WA; daughter-in-law, Wendy Cain of Spokane, WA; brother, Gary Cain of Port Orchard, WA; sister, Bobbi Kerr of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Cain, two brothers and three sisters. Friends may call on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at IRWIN CHAPEL, 591 GLEN CROSSING ROAD IN GLEN CARBON. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Romoser officiating. Memorials are suggested to New Song Fellowship or Unity Hospice of Collinsville.
