Kimberly Schmidt Obituary

SCHMIDT,
Kimberly Rae
6/7/1977 -" 1/1/2012

Our beautiful daughter -" loving and dedicated mother, cherished niece and cousin, and loyal friend has left us all with a very large empty place in our hearts.
Kim was born in Spokane, graduated from Shadle Park High School, and earned a Master's Degree from Eastern Washington University in Accounting and Business/Human Resource Management. Kim loved the ocean and exploring its creatures and beauty, she was an intense worker for Pitney Bowes, and a true friend. Kim's pride and joy was her daughter and her hard work in dance and school. Her favorite title was "Dance Mom" and enjoyed watching, with a little sadness how her --lil' monkey was growing into a young lady. She is survived by her daughter, Aubrey Regalado, mother, Toni Schmidt of Spokane, and father, Randy Schmidt of Spirit Lake, ID. A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 1 pm.

Randy, Toni, & Aubrey,
No words have I to say. But my thoughts are with you. Just know that Kim is with you always. Take a look around. A whisper in the wind. The warm touch of sunlight on your face. The smell of the ocean. The certain smile in Aubrey's face. Remember. . .

My Friend Kim this is how I will remember You until we see eachother again.

As one of my very best friends through and after high school (Skippy); you and Nikole took me under your wings like a little sister. We laughed a lot and cried a little with what life dealt us. You were always so positive and optimistic; we laughed so hard we cried at times. We leaned on each other like friends do. You are such a wonderful Mother and friend; it has been a gift to have you in my life.
The look of adoration in your eyes when we talked about our children; I can still see you glow with pride when talking about Aubrey.

Life takes us on different journeys but for us it will always be about friendship, love, and the wonderful times we spent together. I can't wait to see you again my dear friend.

My heart aches for having lost a good friend and peer. Kim, you will be missed but never forgotten. Your tremendous leadership has been a blessing to me and many others here at Pitney Bowes. Your legacy will remain strong within my heart.

Aubrey and Toni, God bless and may you find strength in each other.

There are no words to express the sadness I feel in your having left us. I loved exploring new places with you - our trips together to Cayman Brac and Roatan were made even better by your enthusiasm and warmth. And quite frankly, if not for you and Dez helping me over my fears of SCUBA, I would never have gone on those great adventures. If you affected my life so much simply by being you, I can only imagine the positive impact you've had on the rest of this world. We are truly diminished by your passing.

I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft starts that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.

Kim leaves a void that will never be filled, unless it is by memories such as mine of her beautiful smile and fantastic support to me when I recertified my scuba license. Kim, you now walk with God, may you be blessed by His light and that our prayers for your loved ones left behind provide the love and comfort they need during this most difficult time. The Lord is thy comfort and strength.

Thank you for all that you have taught me, I will cherish it forever. Rest in peace.

Kim, I can't say in words what a loss you are going through. I can see the resemblence of you in your daughter and I know just how much she has meant to you as well as her daughter.
I know words can never comfort in times like this but I do know as time goes by all the happy times will over power the loss and emptyness you are going through. Just want to let you know I am thinking of you and your family.
God has her in his hands and she is not alone.

Truly a tragedy. Although I had lost touch with Kim, it is clear that her smile could have lit up a room, and the world is a less sparkling place without her. Sympathies to all friends and family.
