BROWN, Lawrence "Bill"

Lawrence "Bill" Brown passed away on April 16th, 2018 from complications of Cancer. He battled Cancer for sixteen years before succumbing. Bill was born February 2, 1934 in Cairo, Illinois to Ted and Delmer Brown. He spent the majority of his life in the Spokane area, where he built many relationships and a very successful career in the Foodservice Industry, as a Meat Salesman and Mentor. During his time in Spokane, Bill impacted a number of young people as the Coach of the Mustang's Baseball Team.
Bill was preceded in death by both parents, his step father Fred Lee, his brothers Joe and Howell "Boo" Brown and his sister Mary Ethyl "Murph" Nelson. Bill is survived by his first wife Ella, his second wife Lorraine, his sons Willie and Steve and his daughter Carrie. Bill also had many grand and great-grandchildren. Additionally, Bill had a number of friends who remained close to him until the time of his death.
Bill will be remembered for his passion and drive for success, his smile and sense of humor, as well as his desire to serve through providing meals for people in need. He will be forever known as "The Candy Man."
A celebration of Bill's life will take place at Jack and Dan's Tavern, in Spokane, WA, on Saturday, June 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m.. This no host celebration is welcome to all who would like to celebrate him in a way that the Brown Family knows he would have chosen himself.
