He and his wife returned to Coeur d'Alene where they were married 62½ years ago in the Lutheran Church on 5th Street. Lee was also a member of the American Legion. He was a PFC during World War II serving on the island of Leyte and in the Philippines. The McLaughlin's moved to Spokane Valley, WA two years ago. A viewing will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene. A graveside service will follow at Forest Cemetery, Coeur d'Alene, ID, at 2 p.m.
