Leonard Hill Obituary

HILL,
Leonard M.

On April 12th, 2011 at 6pm Leonard M. Hill passed from this Earth in Sequim, WA. He was born January 2, 1929 in Spokane and was raised here. Leonard was a friend to everyone he met and one of the kindest souls to walk this planet.
His good humor and his jokes always made people smile. Leonard went to high school at Lewis and Clark and got a business degree at Kinman College. He worked for 37 years as an accountant and was with his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth (Obrien), who he lovingly cared for until her death from Alzheimer's in 2006.
As his health failed Leonard needed to be closer to family so he moved to Sequim in 2010. A resident of Sherwood Assisted Living he was happy and very well cared for. Leonard is survived by his two sons, Larry (wife Cheryl and grandson Ian) of Ellensburg, WA and Michael (his Partner Anthony Vetro) of Sequim, WA; two sisters Kitty Johndrow of Spokane and Betty Winsett of Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19 from 12-7pm with Vigil Rosary services beginning at 7pm, all at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 20, at 10am and will be celebrated at The Jesuit House Chapel, 1106 N. Astor, Spokane, with committal to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Alzheimer's Association, 910 W. 5th Ave., Suite 256, Spokane, WA 99204. Please visit Leonard's tribute and leave a condolence at www.hennesseyfuneralhomes.com.
