GREGER, Lester Allen

Passed away on August 8th, 2018. He was born December 2nd, 1952 to Albert Greger and Myrtle (Kinzler) of Couer d'Alene. Les was a lifetime resident of the Spokane area.
Dad enlisted with the U.S. Army in 1969 and specialized in vehicle mechanics. Upon returning home, he met Donna Hickey in 1974 and in 1978 they married. In 1980, they moved to Valleyford. Over many years Dad built our home and established lifelong relationships in the community. The barn on the property was the centerpiece of many gatherings.
You could find Dad enjoying his Corvette, riding his Harley, cheering for the Seahawks, watching NASCAR or at one of his favorite watering holes in the Spokane Valley. Dad had a heart of gold and was always there with a helping hand to get the job done, no matter what the size.
He is preceded in death by his father Albert and mother Myrtle, brother Ervin, and sister Karen. He is survived by his wife of 40+ years, Donna; daughter Nichole Swallows and husband Keith; son Justin and wife Sirissa; siblings: Alice (Schofield), Leonard, Mavis (Thomas), and Harley along with nephew Brian and multiple nieces and nephews; grandchildren: Tyler, Madelyn, Seth, and Drew and great-grandchildren: Wesley and Calvin.
A celebration of Les' life will be held on Wednesday, August 15th at Players & Spectators Events Center (12828 E. Sprague Ave.) 4pm - 8pm.
In lieu of gifts, consider a donation to the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs (dva.wa.gov) or Hospice of Spokane (hospiceofspokane.org).
