Lois Evanoff Obituary

EVANOFF, Lois

2/3/1918 - 5/2/2011

Memorial services will be held for Lois Evanoff at 11 am Saturday, May 14, at Manito Methodist Church. Born to Arthur Edward and Clara Fern Green, Lois was raised in Edwall, WA, earned her Masters at EWCE, and taught in Spokane's District 81 for many years. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Duenwald, of Bead Lake, numerous nieces and nephews, and many loving friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence, six sisters and one brother. Lois and Lawrence built a home (designed by Lawrence) on Tower Mountain - which Lois opened to family, friends, and those in need. She will be long remembered for her generosity and care for everyone, including all the wild creatures and birds. Lunch will follow at 1:00 at the Edwall Methodist Church.

My heart is heavy that I have lost such a dear friend. I am comforted by the happy memories I have of spending time at Huckleberry's having brunch. Lois always hoped that she would live to be 100. She was such an inspiration for living a healthy lifestyle. I will always remember her 90th birthday. The entire restaurant sang happy birthday to her. Strangers bought her flowers and treats. I will miss Lois so much. I teach at the same school she did and I will always think of her as the person I strive to be. I am so blessed to have known her!
All my love Lois!
