Went home to be with her Lord on November 24, 2017 from complications from a stroke. She was surrounded by friends and family. Lula was born on November 26, 1917 in Keller, Washington and was, upon her passing, two days away from her 100th birthday. She was the oldest enrolled member of the Colville Confederated Tribes.
A graduate of Wilbur High School. She married William "Bush" Aubertin in 1938 and enjoyed riding horses, ranching and visiting with her family and friends. She was very dedicated to her community and was actively involved with the establishment and construction of the Keller Community Church which she attended regularly. She served on the Colville Tribal Council from 1961 to 1962. She was the best cook in the family and no one would leave her house hungry.
Lula was preceded in death by her husband "Bush" Aubertin, best friend John Ojheda and children Richard Aubertin, Nadine Aubertin Naff and Benny Aubertin. She is survived by her son, Bill (Marilou) Aubertin; grandsons, Trent (Sarah) Aubertin and Tyler (Courtney) Aubertin and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Join us in a celebration of her life at the Keller Community Center at noon on Saturday, December 2, 2017. A private graveside service for immediate family will follow at the Keller Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Keller Community Church.
