Margaret Dietzman-Caprye Obituary

DIETZMAN-CAPRYE, Margaret Elaine

Margaret Elaine Dietzman-Caprye was born March 7, 1931 in Iowa County, Wisconsin to William Henry Dietzman and Gladys Ione Dietzman. Margaret had two brothers: Robert Dietzman, Gary Dietzman.
Margaret married Jerome Williams and together they had two sons: Daniel Arthur Williams and David William Williams. Later she married George Yank and had a daughter, Kelly Renee Yank. She married the love of her life on May 28, 1971, Michael Alfred Caprye, who had two boys and two daughters: Michelle, Michael, Monica and Mark Caprye.
She worked for Rutherford Triple X Drive-in where she car hopped on roller skates. Margaret attended cosmetology school for a short time and returned later to college. She graduated from Spokane Community College in 1966 with her licensed practice in nursing. She worked for some years at Deaconess Hospital on the pediatric floor. She loved babies and children and loved to have her grandchildren around her. Later in life she loved working as a demo lady, passing out samples of products at local grocery outlets. Her great personality and big smile would always lure people in.
Margaret's biggest passion was being a homemaker. She loved to cook and bake from scratch and invite numerous people into her life to enjoy her talents. Often when she made homemade cinnamon rolls they did not make it to their destination. She loved spoiling her husband by just being a wonderful homemaker. Some of her interests included collecting porcelain dolls, shopping for clothes, indulging on QVC, crocheting, spending time with her friends, family and the telephone. Margaret loved Christmas. She and her husband shared common interests such as collecting Hallmark ornaments, casino life and traveling. Margaret and her husband had one of the most beautiful Christmas trees for miles and miles.
Margaret is survived by: her brother, Gary Dietzman; children: Daniel Williams, Kay Williams (daughter-in-law), Kelly (Rod) Yank-Geiger, Michele (Hal) Small, Michael (Peggy) Caprye, Monica (Tim) Smith, Mark Caprye and sisters-in-law: Donna Dietzman and Betty Dietzman. She left 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many good friends who have been a part of her life for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Caprye, her son David Williams, and her brother Robert Dietzman. Memorial services will be Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 10am and will be conducted at the funeral home, with inurnment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall ST., Spokane.
