PHINNEY, Marian L.
(Age 94)
Passed away February 19, 2011 in Spokane. She was born May 16, 1916 in Bismarck, ND, the daughter of Addison G. and Lillian L. (Boethin) White. Marian was married to Robert F. Phinney on June 6, 1948 and the two enjoyed over 40 years of marriage until his passing in December 1988. She was a lifelong Lutheran whose faith was a beacon for those who knew her. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of The Deaf, in Spokane, for 28 years. She is dearly loved by so many and will be missed. Marian is survived by her s.daughter Frances K. (Robert) Schwanz; niece Wendy Durkee; nephews James (Barbara) White and John (Haek Yung) White; and numerous members of the Phinney family. In addition to her husband Robert, Marian was preceded in death by her brother Clifton White; and niece Marcia White. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 23 from 12-5pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 12noon, also at the funeral home, with private committal to follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are suggested to Horizon Hospice, 123 W. Cascade Way, Spokane, WA 99208.
