Marvin Dale

Marvin Dale Coman born on October 25th 1941 left this earth May 26, 2018. He was born to Virginia "Pauline" Hamlet and William "Bill" Warren Coman in Colfax, Washington. Marvin grew up in Ritzville, WA and joined the United States Marine Corps in November 1958. He trained to be a Telephone and Telegraph Operator. Marvin was a member of the Marine Corp Rifle and Pistol Team and was awarded the Bronze Medal for Outstanding Marksmanship. Marvin married Rita Derring in 1964. Their children included a daughter Laura Kromm (Scott) of Spokane and two sons Shawn Coman (Lisa) of Ocean Shores, WA and Shad Coman (Stacy) of Spokane.
Marvin worked for several companies in Spokane including Sears and Major Ford before becoming a sales rep for AudioVox and Comtron selling radio and stereo systems to automobile dealers and stereo stores.
Marvin moved his family to Bonnie Lake, WA when his company transferred him to a new territory. Marvin started his own company, The Video Shelf making display and storage units for video stores and video departments in stores such as Safeway. The Video Shelf evolved into Coman Manufacturing Co.
Marvin was forced into retirement after injuries to his hands and back. He became a Snowbird living in Washington and Northern Idaho in the summer time and Arizona in the winter.
Marvin met and formed a lifetime partnership with Cheryl Miller in1998. The couple owned and operated the Klassic Kitchen and Starvinl Marvin's Dawg Haus in a Mesa, AZ Swapmeet until the illness of Marvin's mother necessitated their return to Washington state. They sold the Klassic Kitchen, but retained ownership of Starvin' Marvin's Dawg Haus and continued to operate it in Washington state until their retirement.
Marvin has two stepsons from this union. Jonathan Schliep (Shannon) of Kennewick, WA and Daniel Schliep (Tera) of Deer Park, WA. Marvin and Cheryl had an ever expanding family that includes another son, Robby Pearson of Spokane, WA.
Marvin is survived by one daughter, five sons, 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, several cousins and Cheryl. Oof?
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Billie Jean Coman.
