Passed away March 6, 2011 at her Spokane Valley home; formerly a longtime Tekoa resident. She was born August 14, 1925 at Tekoa, WA to John A. and Anna K. (Wallner) Kessinger. She attended schools in Tekoa, graduating from Tekoa High School in 1943. Following high school, Mary worked as a bank teller in Tekoa for the next five years.
Mary married William -Bill' Bohara on November 16, 1949 at Missoula, Montana. The couple farmed near Tekoa until retiring in 1992, and then moved to Spokane Valley in 1992. Her husband Bill passed away in March of 2003. She continued to make her home in Spokane Valley, WA.
She enjoyed following her children and grandchildren in local school activities, and was a member of the Tekoa Float Committee during the 1970s with daughter Julie as Tekoa Royalty.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and his wife K-Dianne Bohara of Chanhassen, MN, Dave and his wife Sharon Bohara of Tekoa, WA; two daughters, Becky Harris of Nokomis, FL, and Julie Smith of Troy, ID; a sister, Agnes Clem of Tekoa, WA; nine grandchildren, Kahlil Sitton, Larissa Conley, Britni Bohara, Christina Nelson, Johnny Nelson, Carsten Smith, Dakotah Smith, MaKenna Smith, and Ryan Bohara; three great-grandchildren, Gunner Conley, Mauriyah Sitton, and Ehrinn Sitton. Mary was preceded in death by her husband William, daughter Carol Nelson, sister Pearl Thompson, and brothers, Joe and Leroy Kessinger.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tekoa Community Church in Tekoa, WA. A private family burial will follow at the Pines Cemetery in Spokane Valley, WA. KRAMER FUNERAL HOME OF TEKOA, WA is handling the arrangements.
