CLARK, Mel June, 27, 1933 - August 8, 2013 Mel Clark was born in Spokane, WA, June 27, 1933....The world became a richer place on that date. Mel graduated from Rogers High School in 1951. He then served two years in the U.S. Navy (stationed in Olathe, Kansas). After returning to Spokane, he met Donna Armstrong and they were married January 11, 1957. Together they had three children, Teri, Jan and Jay, whom they raised at Liberty Lake, WA. Mel retired from Kaiser Aluminum in 1986 at the age of 52. He then went to Kentucky to work an additional ten years at Logan Aluminum. Mel and Donna finally retired to Clarkson, WA to live their remaining years. Mel truly embraced friends and family, hosting and entertaining countless celebrations at his lake home. Though our hearts are deeply saddened by Mel's passing, the fond memories we hold will always provide a bright spot in our lives. With deep regret we say goodbye to one of the finest characters God placed on this earth. From everyone who knew Mel, we say thank you for being the best husband, father and friend anyone could be. God bless and rest peacefully. A celebration of Mel's life will take place at the Coeur d'Alene Resort on September 7 at 2:00 p.m.
