On November 29, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family, Michael lost his five-year battle with Parkinson's disease and cancer. Michael was born September 25,1954 in Spokane, WA to Sherman and Florence Walker. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Kathleen Walker; two sons, Shawn and Andrew Walker; five grandchildren; one brother, Rusty; three sisters, Sharon, Sandra, and Sue. Michael loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time camping with family and friends. In his spare time, he loved fishing, hunting, playing guitar, and working his wood shop. He liked to show his appreciation with gifts of his woodworking skills, all of which will be treasured forever. Those who knew Michael loved his very quick-witted humorous personality and all will tremendously miss him. Michael would always recite the words, "Glad I got to see you," after a visit with family. These words will always be heard in the hearts of those who loved him so dearly. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Maria and Cheryl for all their support and care of Mike and his family. A "Celebration of Life" will be held on December 15, 2012 at 10302 N. Alberta Rd., Spokane, WA 99208 from 12pm-4pm. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to The Family Home Care, Hospice or a Parkinson's foundation.September 25, 1954 - November 29, 2012
