Neil is still very much in my thoughts. So much so that with in the past week, I dreamt that he and I were locked in another of our spirited battles on the golf course. We would bet on virtually every aspect of the game. At the end of the day, it almost always came out close to even. Neil, your friendship will always be in my heart.

I have known Neil for about 6 or 7 years and have totally enjoyed his spirit. He was a fierce competitor. Win or lose, he was always ready to go again. He was a good man, a patriot, a friend that I will miss. Rest in peace.

Over more than 30 years of friendship with Neil, we shared love of country, loveof competition on the golf course and, most of all, just enjoying our friendship. One of my favorite "Neil stories" was one January day at Liberty lake golf course. It was about 25 degrees but the course was open on frozen, temporary greens. We were the only 2 on the course. About the 8th hole, a light snow began falling. Just enough to put a light coating on the greens making it difficult to putt. At the turn, we went into the proshop and the pro, Kit Deandre, said "I wondered when you guys were going to quit." We said we're not quitting. We need to borrow a broom so we can sweep enough snow off the greens so we can putt. I'll never forget the look on his face. I will think of Neil often. I'd like to express my condolences to all of us who will miss him.
