KOLBECK, Norm "Stormin' Norman" (Age 86) Norm Kolbeck, "Stormin' Norman", 86, passed away peacefully on May 13th, 2013 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was born in Bucoda, WA on April 22, 1927 to Inez and Tony Kolbeck. Norm moved back to Coeur d'Alene in 1930. He joined the Navy at the age of 16 and served in WWII from 1943-1947. He was activated in 1950 to serve in the Korean War. Norm returned to Coeur d'Alene in 1952. He was a life member of Disabled Veterans and the youngest member of the Coeur d'Alene Eagles at age 16 because of being in the Navy. After a few unsuccessful tries, Norm finally met the love of his life, and partner for the last 30 years, Marilyn Bell. Together they enjoyed pleasure boating on Lake Coeur d'Alene and Tea dances at the Eagles. Norm also enjoyed golf, fishing, and poker parties with long time friends. Norm retired from Wendle Ford after being a salesman for 21 years. He is survived by partner Marilyn Bell; son R. Wade Kolbeck; daughters Karlene Kolbeck Harvey (Steve) and Alora Sarich; grandchildren Christopher and Halaena Gage and Jennifer Harvey; great-grandchildren Colin and Hannah Gage and Sicily Kolbeck. Norm is preceded in death by his sister Deloris (1952); daughter Linda (1999); and grandson Dane (2013). Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Monday, May 20, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. 4th St., Coeur d'Alene, ID.
