Olive Buob Obituary

BUOB,
Olive L.

Our beloved Mother passed from death into eternal life, Friday morning, May 6th. Olive was born in Bossburg, WA, on February 12, 1918. She was one of six children born to Charles and Edna Chollet. She attended a country school until the family moved to New York during the depression. After five years, they returned to the country near Colville and Olive graduated from Colville High School. She married Ted Buob in 1939. They farmed outside Colville until Ted's retirement in the late 60s. Olive was a life member of the Stevens Co. Historical Society, member of Meyers Falls Home Ec Club, and an active member of the 1st Baptist Church in Colville for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted, in 1981. Olive is survived by her daughter, Beverly Rhodes and her son-in-law, Bill Rhodes of Spokane; a sister, Charlotte Peterson of Spokane; nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Trudi Johnson. She is today with her Lord and Savior in Paradise and will live in our hearts always. "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain." A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Minnehaha Covenant Church, 4005 E Marietta, Spokane, WA. www.riplinger.com.
