JENSON, Pat Virgil April 15, 1926 - July 15, 2013 Passed away July 15, 2013 at Hospice House. Pat was born in Minneapolis, MN, attended Lewis and Clark High School, and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the highly decorated US Army 96th Infantry Division, where he received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He worked at Darigold for 38 years, served many leadership positions for Spokane Valley Elks, including District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for Eastern Washington and Washington State Trustee. Pat also officiated college and high school football, and was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife of almost 69 years, Elsie; sons Cary and Randy (Nai) Jenson; and daughter Ann (Joe) Vogrig; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by sisters Dee Clinton and Jean Burkhardt. Excellent care was given by Holy Family ER and 3rd Floor East staffs, along with Hospice House of Spokane. Pat was honored and interred during a private ceremony at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice House, 367 E. 7th Ave., Spokane, WA 99202.
