ROONEY, Patrick M.
(Age 65)

Patrick M. Rooney passed away March 26, 2011 in Spokane. He was born November 10, 1945 in Spokane, the son Mayfair (Gossett) Rooney. Pat graduated from North Central High School and then served in the United States Army for four years. After his military service, Pat attended community college and began his career as a carpenter and an inspector. Pat was preceded in death by his mother; his brother John Bettis; and his sisters Judy Lee Rooney and Judy Arrington. He is survived by his sister Mildred Cockerum of Spokane; brothers Jim Rooney of Denver, CO and Al Bettis of Seattle, WA; and sister Mona Bates of Whitney, NE. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday, from 12-5pm both days at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Friday, April 1, 2011 at 11am and will be conducted at the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley, Spokane. Patrick's smile was always nice to see. He was shy to show his deep-thinker side but I was always glad when he did. I am sure he and Caruso are harmonizing in Heaven.

I will truly miss Pat. He always had a smile on his face and a wonderful greeting when he saw you. I will always have fond memories of Pat.
