Of Mead, WA, died Sunday afternoon, March 20, 2011. Richard was born January 19, 1930 in Polar, WI to Herman and Bernice Meyer. He moved to Spokane, WA in 1944 where he worked as a long distance truck driver.
Richard is survived by his wife, Celia Rae Meyer; seven children; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and eight brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 1:00 until 4:00 P.M. at Center Point, 1408 N. Washington St., Spokane, WA.
Richard was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

We cousins all refered to him as Dick. He was always playfull with the cousins and didn't hesitate to jump in and play whatever we were involved in at the time. Like all of the uncles, he didn't hesitate to discipline any of us as well. We need more like them today. He will be missed.
