ADAMS, Robert "Bob" (Age 79) Bob was born in Spokane, WA to Alick G. Adams and Mabel A. (Goldsmith) Adams November 16, 1933. He passed away June 17, 2013 with his wife, Tiny, by his side. He grew up in North Spokane with his parents and older brother Bill. They were proud graduates of Rogers High School and went on to work on Rogers reunions together. Bob married his high school sweetheart, Tiny (Yvonne) O'Conner on March 21, 1953 - two days before entering the Navy. He became a Navy SeaBee and eventually trained to be a Barber. He welcomed one haircut at a time to the shop on 38th & Grand for about 40 years; adding a gas station and a Pop Shoppe to the family business over the years. Bob and Tiny welcomed two daughters into their lives, Cynthia in 1963 and Kristi in 1964. He watched their games at school, took them camping, fishing, waterskiing, snowmobiling and sledding throughout their childhood on Dakota St., always including the neighborhood kids and the girls' friends too. In addition to all of this, he coached Boys Baseball teams for 16 years, including the South Grand Dodgers and Olympic Sports. His legacy with Boys Baseball runs deep as he taught skills and strategy along with showing grace when winning and losing. He taught parents to watch and cheer, while discouraging arguing and coaching from the sidelines. Bob was blessed with two granddaughters, Kaley (17) and Jackie (14). He and Tiny were always persistent fans at their sporting events, walking to and from the courts and fields, up and down bleachers, hand in hand, make a lasting impression on the girls and their teammates. Bob and Tiny just celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary and she was the love of his life. They worked very hard and after retirement enjoyed travel and golf with their many friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, uncle and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife Tiny; two daughters, Cynthia Adams and Kristi Lenhart (Tim); two granddaughters, Kaley and Jackie Lenhart; brother Bill Adams (Marian); several cousins, four nephews and one niece.
