TARNOWSKI, Bob
Robert George Tarnowski, Sr., born in St. Paul, MN on September 14, 1937, aged 78 years, died at home in Spokane Saturday morning, February 6th, after suffering from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis for many years. After serving in the U.S. Army, Bob married Mary Theresa Bearth on June 10, 1961 and they enjoyed 54 years, 7 months, and 27 days of life together. They have 6 children: Robert Jr., (Sara), Sr. Marie Vianney CMRI (Maureen), Debra (Jerry) Krause, David (Missy), Joan (Herman) Sitzenstock, Michele (Pat) Snyder. They have given him 8 granddaughters and 13 grandsons, and one great-grandchild expected in May. There was nothing in the world more important to him than his wife and family. Bob worked 37 years at 3M as a machinist in the research department. He was devoted to God and country, actively involved over the years in both parish and community, serving as a member of his parish council, men's club, Scout leader, Catholic Action committee, the Constitution Party, a SCOPE Volunteer, and an amateur radio operator. Many will remember him for his strong work ethic and a life-long love of learning, and his encouragement to all to learn new things and do their best. In 1999 Bob and Mary moved to Spokane, WA to be part of a Traditional Catholic parish. The rosary will be prayed Friday, February 12th at 7pm and a traditional Catholic Requiem Mass will be offered for the repose of his soul on Saturday at 10am, both at Mount St. Michaels. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Mary Tarnowski, his brothers Michael, Stanley, Jr., and sister Anne Marie, and is survived by brothers Joseph, Jerome, Donald, and sisters Mary, Janet, and Marcy. Please pray for him. May he rest in peace. Online condolences may be expressed at hennesseyfuneralhomes.com.
