Entered into eternity with Jesus Christ our Lord April 7th, 2011 after complica-tions from open-heart surgery. Bob was born in Yakima, WA Novebmer 10th, 1937 to Leo T. and Theresia M. Gibbs. He grew up in Spokane, attending St. Ann's Grade School and Rogers High School. He then served three years in the United States Navy. In March of 1970, Robert was proud to become a Deputy Sheriff for the Spokane County Sheriff's Department, and retired in March of 1995. Bob is survived by his loving wife Valerie of 38 years; his daughters Kari (Gerry) Keating, LeAnn (Ben) Cozza, and Julie Gibbs-Galimanis; his six grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Emily Keating, Jessica, Kyle and Kaden Cozza, and Madison Galimanis; his brother James T. Gibbs; sisters Marie Fruin, Darlene Power, Gloria McCarthy; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Our family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Branden Reynolds, Dr. Braden Batkoff, the staff of CICU 2 North at Sacred Heart Medical Center, and Katie Schatz ARNP, for their care of Bob during this time. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 14th at 1:00 at Indian Trial Church, 9010 N. Indian Trail Rd., Spokane, WA. Curt Quaschnick, Chaplain for the Spokane County Sheriff's Dept. will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Mission, 1224 E. Trent Ave., Spokane, WA 99202. SPOKANE CREMATION & FUNERAL SERVICE.
