Of Kennewick, Washington, died February 5, 2011 in Spokane, Washington.
He was born November 11, 1924 in Alicel, Oregon. He was 3 years old when his family migrated across the Columbia River from
Wallula to Hover on a water current ferry. He was raised by a widowed mother and attended Kennewick schools and Washington State University.
He was a design engineer during two years construction of the "F" and "H" Reactors for Atkinson-J.A. Jones at Hanford and Chief Architectural Engineer for McNary and Ice Harbor dams for Corps of Engineers at Walla Walla. He spent 21 years with AEC and ERDA at Hanford as part of the Project Engineering team on 100 KE, KW, and N Reactors, and many other nuclear support facilities. The next 10 years was spent with Vitro Engineering Co. at Hanford and then a year as Project Manager for WPPSS #2 reactor substructure contractor. After eight years employed by J.A. Jones Engineering Department he retried in 1987.
He is a Navy veteran of WWII and a licensed Real Estate Broker.
Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife Marguerite of 59 years and his sister Loverne Taylor. He left behind sister, Dorothy Hughes of Richland; daughter, Gaylene (Dan) Harris of Spokane; son, Garry (Barb) Rosson of Seattle; grandchildren, Jon Rosson of Seattle; Nikkole (John) Duvall of Kennewick; Jarred (Brandy) Ralls of California; Josh Harris of Seattle, and (great-grandchildren) Aliyanna and Jaylen Ralls, also his best friend "Ticker".
The family wishes to thank all the wonderful caregivers at Waterford and Hospice of Spokane for their caring and compassionate support.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Hospice of Spokane or Alzheimer's Foundation in his name.
