HILL, Roger Charles

Roger Charles Hill, age 92, passed away February 3, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby I. Hill; by his son, Dale W. Hill; and by his siblings, Dean, Roderick (Roger's twin), Patty and Shirley. His survivors include his sister, Bernice Chappell; sons, Lynn (Linda) Hill, Vaughn Hill, Kevin (Pamela) Hill and Keith (Debbie) Hill; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Roger was born in Driggs ID, grew up in Bonners Ferry ID, served in the Army Corps of Engineers during WWII and was the owner/operator of Francis Avenue Barber shop for many years before retirement. He was a compassionate, caring man, loved by family, friends and the many who knew him. In keeping with Roger's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private graveside service will be held by immediate friends and family on February 26, 2011. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Providence Adult Care or Horizon Hospice. Arrangements completed by RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE WA.

HILL, Ruby Ione (Mackey)

Ruby Ione Hill, age 82, passed away April 15, 2003. She was preceded in death by her sibling, Irma (Mackey) Baker. Her survivors at the time included her husband, Roger Charles Hill; her brother, Marvin Mackey; and several sons, daughters-in-law and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruby was born in Rock Lake, ND, grew up in Bonners Ferry ID, taught school in one-room school houses and worked for many years for the City of Spokane before retirement. She was a wonderful wife and mother, loved by family, friends and the many who knew her. She has been, and will continue to be, missed.
