Born on February 9, 1930 in Kalispell, MT to Isaac Ransom and Opal Phillips (Sparling). Entered into rest March 30, 2011 in Spokane, WA. She is survived by daughter, Kathleen Harkness (Candler) of Spokane; son, Benjamin Candler of Penn.; son, Terry Candler of Idyllwild, CA; and daughter, Charlotte Hemingway (Candler) of Spokane; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother, Harley W. Phillips of Oceanside, CA. Preceded in death by her husband, Leslie G. DeVee in April 1990; and her parents. As per Ruth's request, no public services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane, P.O. Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210. RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA 99207 in care of arrangements.
