FLOOD, Seymour A.
(Age 90)

Passed away April 27, 2011 in Spokane, WA. He is survived by his daughter Sheila Flood of Cathedral City, CA, a sister Mary Dolores Fell of Spokane, WA along with numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Frances Steele of Reardan, WA. He is preceded in death by his wife Vera of 65 years on August 29, 2009, son-in-law Scott Kerber on February 20, 2004, one brother Lloyd Flood and a sister Tressa Flood. He was a member of the Reardan Grain Growers, W.A.W.G, Former Deep Creek Grange member. Seymour was born on November 9, 1920 in Reardan, WA to Seymour and Mary (Magers) Flood. He married Vera Peck on April 16, 1944. He was a lifetime resident of the Espanola/ Deep Creek area and was a 3rd generation wheat farmer of a pioneer family. Memorial service, Monday, May 2, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Strate Funeral Home, Davenport, WA with Pastor Phil Falk, Officiating. Memorials may be made to the W.A.W.G., 109 E. First Ave., Ritzville, WA 99169 or the Hutton Settlement, 422 W. Riverside Spokane, WA 99201.

Seymor had the biggest heart bigger then both of his hands,and they were huge. Wish I could hear one more of his history lessons

I will always miss his jokes, the overalls he wore and the memories out on the farm. We will miss you Great Uncle Seymour! My dad asked me to post the pictures that I have and I have also posted them on the Facebook fan page.

Uncle Seymour was one of a kind. Like others have said he would always listen and always have a story. Seymour was the last of a farmer's farmer. Always in bib overalls with a hat and the biggest heart.
