Shirley Arbacauskas Obituary

ARBACAUSKAS,
Shirley Ann
(Age 88)

Passed away in Mesa, Arizona on March 23, 2011. She was born in Moscow, Idaho on July 29, 1922 to Tracy and Laverne Mudgett. She graduated from West Valley High School (Spokane) in 1940 and moved to Boise, Idaho in the spring of 1942 where she met her late husband Alec Arbacauskas. They married in December 1942 and settled in the Spokane Valley in 1948 where they raised their four children. Shirley belonged to the Jack's and Jenny's Square Dance Club. She loved to read, play cards and spend time with her family. When she and Al retired they spent their winters in Arizona and summers camping in their RV around the Northwest. Shirley was one of the best bakers in town and we will miss her delicious apple pies! Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Alec Arbacauskas, sisters Pat Clark and Terrie Edwards, and her son-in-law Robert Lambert. Shirley is survived by her daughter Lynne Lambert of Higley, AZ, son Chris Arbacauskas and wife Laurel, of Spokane Valley, son Tony Arbacauskas and wife Kerrone of Tacoma, and son Mark Arbacauskas and wife Inge of Newman Lake. She is survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Janet Baret of Spokane Valley and Dana Jo Medosch of Fredrick, Maryland. At Shirley's request there will not be a service.
