Steve was born in Spokane, WA and died of natural causes at his home in Federal Heights, CO. Steve grew up in Edwall, WA and graduated from Reardan High School in 1972. He joined the Air Force during the Vietnam Era and was stationed in Thailand, Guam, and New Mexico. He earned the rank of Sergeant.

Steve made his home in Colorado after discharge from the service, spending several years selling cars and repairing vehicles, but found his niche when he became a mortgage loan officer. He found great satisfaction in helping young families purchase their first homes and enjoyed his volunteer work as a youth mentor. He loved Colorado for the mountains, fishing and his amazing network of friends and co-workers in the Denver area, many of whom he considered family.
