(Age 72)
"Dorie" went Home with the Lord suddenly on January 21, 2011 with her family around her. Born in Angeles City in the Philippines on October 28, 1938, she and Dan married in 1959. With Dan in the Air Force, Dorie served as well at home, raising three children. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and her ability to make people feel special. She was a great cook and gardener who blessed friends and health care providers and their staffs with her Filipino food, produce, and candy. She gave and gave from the heart, in words and actions. While she cherished well her family and friends, her greatest treasure was her husband of 51 years, whose broken heart finds solace in her complete healing now in Heaven. She was taken by a brain aneurysm early January 21st. She leaves behind her husband Dan Lemke, son Terry Lemke (Trudy), daughter Cyndi Mulligan (Kevin), son Jerry Lemke (Wayneen), seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many grateful friends. The memorial service is Saturday, February 5th, at 1:00 at Airway Heights Baptist Church, 12322 W. Sunset Hwy.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. There were so many fun times that I had at your home and the center of the laughs and joking was always from your Mom. She treated me like I was one of your family members - always hugging and putting some delicious treat in front of us. My thoughts are with you all during this very difficult time. Take Care.
