Thomas Grommet Obituary
GROMMET, Thomas F.
(Age 64)
Passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, the 15th of January. He was born in Scottsbluff, Nebra- ska on the 18th of August in the year 1946. He served in the United States Army from March 1968 to March 1971. He worked for McKesson for 35 years while living in Spokane, Washington. After retiring from McKesson he worked part time at the City of Spokane Solid Waste Valley Transfer Station. His hobbies included following Nebraska sports, motor homing, and tinkering around the house. He is survived by his wife Joan; four daughters Salicia, Sophia, and Carrie of Spokane, Kristy of Okinawa Japan, three stepsons Raymond, Steve (and Annel) of Spokane, Mike (and Debby) of San Diego CA; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 24th at 5:00 PM, for Thomas F. Grommet at Bible Baptist Church, 11111 East 16th Avenue, Spokane Valley, WA.

So sorry for your loss. We loved Tom dearly and will miss him so much. His presence greatly brightened our days at the pharmacy.

Tom was my neighbor.Over the years I have injoyed talking with Tom about his two young daughter and his many projects he was doing in his yard. He always offered his help with the snow removal if I need help. Will miss our chats. My Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Sorry for your loss. I worked at Mckesson for many years while Tom was there, and knew Tom to be a good dad to his girls, and he loved the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He kept his yard on 37th in pristine condition, and took great pride in it.

I did not know Tom, not even his name.I knew him only from the valley transfer station. What a helpful, upbeat and kind man he was. He always had a smile on his face and I always left with a smile on my face if he was working. I am so sorry for your loss, I know I will miss him.
