Vella Kenny Obituary
(Age 90)
Vella Johnson Kenny passed away February 10, 2011. She was born January 12, 1921 in Wenatchee, WA and was raised on Badger Mountain. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Kenny whom she married in 1939; sisters, Alyce Cadman and Dorothy Fosdick and brothers, Jack and Martin Johnson. Vella worked for many years at the Old National Bank and then for the State of Washington until her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Al) Anderson and son, Wayne (Debbie) Kenny; four grandchildren, Jeff (Theresa) Anderson, Tricia (Ryan) Oster, Kara (Rob) Haff, and Todd (Breeze) Kenny, and six great grandchildren, Cole and Cameron Oster, Avery and Brady Haff, and Sailor and Brooklyn Kenny.
Vella will be laid to rest beside her husband, Don, in Wenatchee, WA. Private family services will be held at a later date. RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N Division, Spokane, WA in charge of arrangements.
The family would like to thank the past and present staff of Oasis Adult Family Home for the thoughtful care they extended to Vella during the past several years.
