Verna Rosier Obituary

ROSIER,
Verna G.
(Age 89)

A private graveside service was held at the Pines South Cemetery on March 2, 2011 for Verna Grace Sturdy Rosier. Verna entered the Irish universe, Sunday, February 27, 2011, greeted by the entire clan waving four-leaf clovers and toasting a little Irish whiskey. She was born to Thomas L. and Lilly Mae Sturdy in Stettler, Alberta, Canada on June 8, 1921 and spent her formative years in Red Deer and Calgary, Alberta. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1938 and married Wilburt A. Rosier in 1939. Verna is survived by her three children, Gordon W. of Sun City, AZ, Glen D. of Spokane, and Doreen V. MacPherson of Twin Lakes, ID. Additionally, her clan includes five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Verna suffered with heart disease most of her life, and finally her little heart decided to pump one last time. At her request, she will rest in peace next to her father, Thomas Leath Sturdy, and stepmother, Mary Sturdy at the Pines Cemetery South. Gordon and Glen request any bequests honoring Verna be made to Providence Holy Family Hospital, 5633 N. Lidgerwood Spokane, WA 99208. RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY 4305 4305 N. DIVISION SPOKANE, WA entrusted with arrangements. Online guestbook at www.riplinger.com.

Gordon & Family.

Irish Prayer: May the road rise to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand.

Thinking of you and wishing there were words to express the sympathy that goes out to you today. Our thoughts are with you.
Love Colleen and Family.

Dear Auntie Verna:

I will always remember the fun summer vacations my family and I used to take to Spokane, WA. I remember Uncle Wilburt and his garden and you and your player piano. My sister Robyn and I would run around the sprinkler in the front yard waiting until we could go the the Pink Elephant store for our next shopping trip. We had plenty of great times growing up with Auntie Verna.
Rest in peace and may God welcome you.
Love Michelle

Our condolences to, Doreen, Glen and Gordon from the Shermans, Robyn Michelle and Bob, Calgary Alberta.
Auntie Verna and Uncle Wilburt were my favorite. They always greeted Carol, the girls and myself with open arms when we came to Spokane for a visit.
She was a wonderful and caring person and will be forever missed.
Rest in peace and God bless you Auntie Verna.
