Virginia Manlowe Obituary

MANLOWE,
Virginia Ann
"Jinnie" née Cerenzia
In Loving Memory

Born November 7, 1933, died peacefully in her sleep February 4, 2011. Born and raised in Spokane, Wash-ington, beginning in 1986 Jinnie spent winters in Indian Wells, California, where she passed away from ovarian cancer.

Jinnie leaves behind many loving family members: her husband, Donald; her four children, Meri Ellen (Bruce) DiLuzio, Jeanne Marlin, John (Christi Chapman) and David (Meridith) Manlowe; her seven grandchildren, Kate, Laura, Nicole, Nick, David, Anisley and Liam; her siblings, Rita Rice and Peter Cerenzia.

Jinnie's legacy of generosity and kindness touched many lives. She volunteered most of her adult life, giving hours of time to the Sacred Heart Hospital League (1969-1986), the Betty Ford Clinic and the Eisenhower Medical Center (1986-2005).

There will be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Poor Clare Sisters, North 4419 Hawthorne, Spokane, WA 99205, a group to whom Jinnie turned for help, solace and celebration throughout her life.

Jinnie was an amazing woman and I still think of the lessons I learned from her all those years ago. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Don and family, We are all so deeply saddened in learning of Jinnie's untimely death! We are all shocked since we had no idea this was a reality. Jinnie was a first class woman, a good friend and a respected bridge player. Please know you are all in our hearts and prayers. We know you are devastated. Our bridge club has lost an amazing player and woman. God Bless you all. Marjean & Larry Larson
