Virginia Barnhart Obituary


BARNHART, Virginia Lee

A memorial service for Virginia Lee Barnhart, who passed away March 7 at her residence in Federal Way, will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, Spokane on Saturday, June 11 at 9:00 am.
Born Virginia Ferguson in Spokane in 1927, she married Donald S. Barnhart June 13, 1950. She is survived by her daughter, Joy Barnhart and son-in-law, Bob Landwehr.
A long time member of Second Church of Christ Scientist, Spokane, she served as Clerk, Church President and member of the Board. She was active in the US Postal Clerks Union's Auxiliary, the League of Woman Voters, and the Democratic Party, working on many political campaigns including Tom Foley's first congressional run. She and Donald were avid golfers and bridge players, and volunteered as Park Hosts with the Oregon Park Service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Habitat for Humanity or Second Church.
