It's so difficult for me to believe that you went to heaven 13 years ago. I think of you most every day and bring up the many memories and experiences you and I shared during our younger days together. I miss you terrible my dear brother.

Wayne came in the office most every morning to have some coffee and laughs with me where we work. Wayne, you always had fun stories...I did not know you a long time but I will miss you.

Wayne and I grew up together on Concord Drive, Billings, Montana. We were in fact brothers for all intent and purposes. Over the later years, Wayne would call me about once a month and we would talk on the phone for hours, often more then three hours. We shared memories of days gone by and talked about how Wayne wished he had never left Billings. The last time he called he told me that he would be coming to Billings this spring to spend time with me and go see the places we once roamed, most of which is now built upon. I find it so impossible to believe that he is gone and that I will never again see him until I meet him in heaven. I have so many stories I could tell of what we did back in the 1950's and 1960's. We attended school together, went roller skating, ice skating, played pool, chased girls, worked together at the golf course parking cars for the parties held there, played baseball together and spent many nights walking out behind where we lived toward the dog pound, where we talked of what bothered us or of what our plans were for both the near and distant future. During the winter, when the streets were covered with snow, we would hookie-bob behind cars and the city bus as a mode of transportation to Terry Park where we would ice skate on Friday nights, Saturdays and Saturday nights. From the time Wayne and his family first moved onto Concord Drive, until their departure to California years later, we were almost inseparable.

I remember when his older brother Leo would teach us boxing in their back yard and their mother would chase us with her broom to stop. She detested violence! I remember assisting in the making of lye soap in the back yard, getting the lard from the local store, Renier Grocery on Central Ave. I remember their little dog Skippy. I remember so many stories about Alan and the crazy stunts he would pull. He seemed to always be getting into trouble and his antics would make both Wayne and I laugh so hard! Alan could run pretty fast, especially when his mother was after him. We'd all spend the late hours after supper listening to Mr. Glatt (Frank) play his accordion. Eating kuchen with coffee in the mornings before school. Watching Mrs. Glatt (Veronica) make egg noodles, kuchen and bread on the kitchen table. She was the best cook I have ever known and I think I ate with them more often then I did at my own house! And there's so much more that I could write a book of our time spent together.

Wayne is and will always be in my heart and my mind. We were much more then the closest of friends... WE WERE BROTHERS! I find it so impossible to believe that he has gone on and I wonder if I'll ever overcome this horrible feeling of great loss in my life!
