MAKHANOVA, Yekaterina Sergeyevna
85 Years of Life
A resident of Newman Lake, Washington, formerly of Wildrose Prairie near Deer Park, WA., passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at her home in Newman Lake. She is the mother of 14 children and enjoyed eighty-four grandchildren and fifty great-grandchildren. Born in 1926 at Kirovograd, the Ukraine, where she grewup, moved to Tajikistan and married Andrey Makhanov at the age of 19 and was a teacher. Mr. Makhanov passed away in 1988. She came to Spokane in 1996 to be with her children here in America. She is a member of the Pilgrim Slavic Church in Spokane. Mrs. Makhanova lived life as a homemaker, teacher and was a kind, loving and God fearing mother. Her family tree consists of 213 people of which 210 are living. A graveside service and interment will be at the Wildrose Prairie Cemetery south of Deer Park on Monroe Road at 12 Noon, Saturday, August 20, 2011.
