Yolanda Malvini Obituary

MALVINI, Yolanda
(DiSalvo)
(Hartley)

Yolanda was born January 14, 1928 to Teresa and Joseph DiSalvo. She joined older siblings Rose, Mae, Louis and Dolly at the home. As the youngest child in this boisterous family she doted on her mother and the feeling was returned. In her teen years she met and married Basil Hartley. This union brought forth son Mark and daughter Louise. Following their divorce she married Richard Malvini. She spent several years giving out her knowledgeable style advice while working in women's clothing shops in the Willow Glen area. She was a resident of San Jose most of her life, mainly in the Willow Glen area, as well as having a home in Indian Wells, CA. She enjoyed travel, dancing and music. She delighted in various artistic expressions and her family. She LOVED golf. As her health declined and she was forced to give up golf her world became much more insular. Following Richard's death she moved to Spokane Valley, WA, where she passed away on April 27, 2011. She is survived by sister Mae LoBue, sister-in-law Francis DiSalvo, son Mark (Roberta) Hartley of Newman Lake, WA, daughter Louise (Martin) Brown of Eagle River, AK and grandchildren Brandi Burkhead, Asia Burkhead, Amanda Hartley, Ross Hartley, Joshua Cooper, Dienne Cooper, Christina Brown and Jacob Brown. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Christopher's Church, 1576 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Spokane Right to Life, 111 E. Central Ste. D, Spokane, WA 99208.
